Are you ready to be thrown into the past? Because here in my first blog will bring you back to the 1800’s with the person who invented the first sneaker. Ever wonder how those converse, Nike, and Adidas came into us? How about how they become trendy and a universal thing into us.

Let us start in 1800’s the first rubber-soled shoes called plimsolls were manufactured. The founder of this shoe is Samuel plimsoll who invented plimsoll shoe designed for aristrocatic lawn sports. And in 1892 Goodyear begins manufacture rubber and canvas shoes making it keds as the best name. The founder of this is Charles Goodyear the one who improved the sneaker industry with his discovery of the vulcanization of rubber.

1908 Converse shoe company was establish by Marquis M. Converse. Marquis M. Converse is one of the famous sneaker founder and he releases he’s first all basketball shoe in 1917 called the Converse All Star. And also in 1917 Keds is the first mass marketed athletic shoes.

1920 Adidas start producing handmade training shoes. The fouder of this is Adi Dassler that his sneaker trend went global and international. He created one of the world most famous sneaker brand Adidas. And He’s brother Rudi Dassler also created the sneaker company known as Puma. 1950’s sneakers are the most preferred footwear of teenagers.

1968 The Blue Ribbon Sports Changes their name in to our all known as the most famous and successful brand Nike. 1971 Fact their well known Nike Swoosh trademark is purchased only for just $35 from a graphic design student. 2003 Nike acquires the long time shoe manufacturer Converse,Inc.

And now Nike is the most successful brand in the sneaker culture they are now collabing famous luxurious brands like off-white, Dior, Supreme, Comme Des garcons (CDG), undefeated, Fragments and many more and also collabing with some artists like Travis Scott and some athletes. Adidas is the second successful sneaker brand they also have collaborations but Nike is the most hype sneaker of all time.
